Preventive vaginal ultrasound: Vaginal ultrasound examination of the uterus and ovaries to rule out pathological changes that may not cause any symptoms and are not palpable.
Breast ultrasound: referral in case of abnormal findings or as IGeL service on request.
Chlamydia test: To rule out this relatively common sexually transmitted infection that can contribute to childlessness and cervical cancer. Reimbursed up to age 25, then as an IGeL service upon request.
ThinPrep test: Due to a complex special preparation, the so-called thin-layer cytology has a higher detection rate for cervical cancer than the conventional PAP smear.
HPV diagnostics: In addition, the presence of the human papilloma virus (HPV) can also be tested before the age of 35. This makes it easier to assess the risk of cervical cancer. If the smear test is conspicuous or the risk is increased, the examination is reimbursed by the health insurance funds.
